RNL Partners Raise Millions on #GivingTuesdayNow
On May 5, #GivingTuesdayNow was organized to provide immediate philanthropic relief to those experiencing the hardships brought on by the COVID-19 crisis. This was an incredible, globally-supported opportunity for organizations to share what they are doing to help and reach out to supporters. As we shared earlier, many of our RNL partners utilized targeted crowdfunding-style campaigns as portals for support.
The results were incredible. Over 130 RNL partners raised over $3.9 million (online and offline) with more than 14,000 gift transactions. The giver-friendly, social and mobile optimized RNL ScaleFunder platform had a big impact.
Florida Tech is a great example, with over $84,000 for their $50k goal. They leveraged a match of $30k from the Board of Trustees. These matching challenges were a big part of the day for many campaigns.
Some more great examples:
- West Virginia University made great use of challenges and reached over $516,000 in giving.
- Carnegie Mellon University featured a really great, multi-project portal featuring multiple campus areas.
- The Ohio State University made smart use of the #GivingTuesdayNow call to action as part of their portal for two key funds.
- Emory University took advantage of their RNL ScaleFunder portal to spotlight key funds and brand for #GivingTuesdayNow.
This was an exciting global day of giving to address a cause that we’re all feeling personally right now. As we mentioned before, having assets such as a portal branded to your organization, mobile-optimized fund pages, and key features like multi-gift checkout, an AI chatbot, and persistent fund pages help drive donor engagement and giving.
