Todd White offers nearly 20 years of enrollment management experience. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, admissions, marketing, publications and e-communications development, and financial aid awarding.
Previous campus experience
Mr. White formerly served as the director of admissions at Cornell College (IA). During his tenure there, Mr. White helped Cornell achieve a 125 percent increase in admissions; enrollment increases from 1,030 students to 1,200; a 27 percent increase in selectivity; and increases in average ACT and GPA. He developed initiatives to increase diversity, increasing the percentage of domestic students of color from 8 percent in 2004 to 23 percent in 2010. Mr. White was also been involved in the repositioning and branding of Cornell College as a highly selective national liberal arts college.
Previously, Mr. White served as the senior director of admission at Lake Forest College (IL), where he was responsible for strategic planning, the integrated marketing and communications plan, and mentoring and supervising of counseling and administrative staffs. His efforts helped the college reach record levels of applications as well as significant increases in overall enrollment and academic profile. He also oversaw the development of a new Web site for Lake Forest College, among other marketing and communications initiatives. Before coming to Lake Forest College, Mr. White served as the associate dean of admission at Hiram College (OH).
Associations and education
Mr. White is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors as well as several state and regional organizations. In 2010 Mr. White was also elected to the Colleges That Change Lives Board of Directors. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell College.
